Thankfully, Metal: Hellsinger makes it incredibly easy to do just that. It's not a bad idea to just keep moving the entire time either, even when you are firing off shots. There's never any consequences for moving in Metal: Hellsinger, and so it's something you should try to do whenever you're not shooting. If you need a little help getting your foot back on beat, scan the environment or nearby enemies objects and foes will flash or glow to the beat, giving you an extra way to stay on target. This is not Rock Band or Guitar Hero, which means you're not getting booed off a stage, so stay on beat! Not only will shooting on the offbeat do virtually no real damage. Whatever you decide to do, when your foot goes down, it's your turn. Or start dashing to put space between you and enemies. When your foot goes down, shoot at something. And, at the risk of sounding like your band teacher: tap your foot to the beat of the music. Try to minimize distractions for your ears just as much as you do your eyes. We recommend either playing with a good headset or with adequate volume in your play area. You live and die off the beat of the music, just as your enemies, so make sure it's your focus. You need to be thinking about the music more than anything else, if you want to stay alive.
Your weapons may as well not do damage if you use them at the wrong time, so this is a crucial detail that cannot be stressed enough. Yes, it's pretty and you can kill demons, just like in Doom Eternal, but your focus must be on annihilating enemies on the downbeat of the music. That's right! First and foremost, Metal: Hellsinger is a rhythm game, and that's how it needs to be approached. The Hells are alive with the sound of music. This is a music game so shoot on the beat! These tips and tricks will help you keep your multiplier up and get high scores, which will keep your health and damage higher while your enemies fade away into the music. The dancing comes by way of you and your arsenal of weapons, as you shotgun your way through hell, in time and on beat to the music. Metal: Hellsinger moves to its own song and dance, which is literally an original soundtrack of metal music.
Metal: Hellsinger may look similar to the Doom series but it didn't rip and tear off its gameplay by any means.
